Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

But HTC isn't in charge of VW's back orders. And Amizon and BB also had back orders.

I'm sure VW will send out back orders FIRST when they get phones from HTC.
Im guessing VW sold a lot more then Amazon and BB so while their back log is clearing up VW is still backed up.

BTW what do you consider the "general Public" and why is an amazon customer part of the "general Public" but VW people waiting on phones aren't?

the number is assigned at activation.
 
I can't wait to have the phone, accessories, and not have to check this thread. Some people just make the wait worse. You got a ship BY date. Unless you're past that date, you have no reason to bitch n moan about others receiving it before you. Including the stores.

Too bad I already got 2 on Sunday from Best Buy. Guess I'll take these back to the store for my refund.

if you havent received them yet from vzw, just refuse the shipment and your account will be credited the $

I just got off the phone with the lady at the store who I ordered from, she just said to refuse the shipment and when they get the phones back it will cancel my account and refund my $$. Can't wait to get the $400 back.
 
When you refuse delivery and the phone is sent back to Verizon, does that also cancel the plan you ordered with it? I am about to order the phone through Amazon but I want to ensure I don't end up with 2 plans/contracts.

The girl told me it will. I wanted to make sure I didn't end up with two either. As long as the phone doesn't activate it won't activate the account.

My husband ordered my phone on the evening of 5/28 (first day eligible for upgrade) and the rep told him it was to be shipped by June 6. Can't say I have any faith in that since the website said 6/18 was the expected ship date for phones purchased on that day. We have had an absolute disaster with my husbands phone, he got a defective phone and they had to send him a replacement and it took forever then they sent 2 or 3 replacements instead of just one and no they won't let us use one of those for me, we had to ship the extras back an continue to wait for mine, like I said one big disaster. My husband loves his phone now and I can't wait to get mine, the little bit I have used his makes me very jealous.
 
Well, I just reordered through Amazon. The $50 discount, no tax and 2 day shipment was too much to pass up. An interesting side note; they listed the ETF as $175 instead of the $350 on the Verizon site. I wonder if I could hold them to it if it ever came to that.

my order date was the 20th, and I'm in Rochester too.... hope that means mine will ship in 2 days...Stands to reason, right?

Last year I didn't get what I asked for, I better get it this year!!!!!
And I want it tommrow insead of the 25th
 
Ordered mine on 5/19. Received an acknowledgement that it would ship in 2-3 days. Then I received another notice that it would ship based on inventory. Called Verizon and was told that they have more coming in and it "should" ship between 6/9 and 6/14. We'll see.

It's here! For the second time. I am nervous now after so much waiting I'll have another DOA phone, but so far so good.

Ordered 5/6 in store but arrived 5/12 DOA.
Reordered 5/14 over the phone.
Shipping notice 5/28. Two day from Ontario CA.
Arrived today at 1:51 pm. I am in MA.

I was able to leave a signed note on the door to get them to leave it. I printed the delivery notice and signed it. Also, the tracking page on Fedex had it stuck at the destination office all day, so it never told me it was on the truck.

Now I can't wait to play with it and search for all of my answers on this great site. Here's hoping everyone's phones come quickly (and work!!).

Ordered mine on 5/15, and is currently with the FedEx truck for delivery today!

Can't wait.

I'm in so cal. The delivery was from their ontario, California warehouse
 
I think the reason people are bitching is because other VZW orders that were placed a day or two after theirs are being shipped out before theirs. I realize the phones are coming from different warehouses sometimes, but it doesn't seem like they're going in any kind of order whatsoever. I'm not upset because I knew the ship by date when I ordered it.

Edit: And it looks like 5/17 orders out of Memphis are shipping. I hope I get an email today!
 
Ordered two phones in store 5/17 in Chicago IL (getting one for me and not one for the wife would have been a very bad plan :D).

Just received shipping email, phones shipped 6/2, will be delivered from Memphis on 6/4.
 
Ordered online on May 24th and just decided to reorder from Amazon, should have the phone by Friday or Monday at the latest. Verizon was scheduled to ship by the 14th...

I'd call the store manager and see if you can get them to give you something free if you return them unopened at the store so they can resell them :)

Did you order online? I'm near Atlanta, GA and ordered online also on 5/18, so just trying to get a gauge on when my phone will finally ship!
