Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

just so everyone is aware; i ordered my phone 5/16 in my local verizon corporate store in cleveland ohio. i never got any shipment notification email at all. fedex attempted to deliver my phone today, but nobody was home. fedex didn't leave ANY note on the door or anything. the only reason i know about the attempted delivery is because i got lucky. i called CS yesterday, and luckilly got an extremely helpful CSR, who said that she would contact me with an update on my phone shipping as soon as she saw one. she found an update today, that the phone had shipped YESTERDAY (this update wasn't in her system when i called) and the SHE was the one who manually emailed my tracking number from her personal email.

now that i have the tracking number, i can call fedex and bitch, and go pick up my phone from the shipping hub tonight.

i did get the overnight shipping, which means that my 5/16 ordered phone was shipped on 6/1 to cleveland ohio.

so you may want to be careful, and call CS every once in a while to check on the status. i may not have gotten mine 'til next week if i didn't call, and get lucky with an extremely helpful CSR.
 
Anyone know what dates are shipping out from coatesville at the moment? Just talked to CS who said my Inc would be coming from the coatesville warehouse, so trying to get an idea of how far ahead or behind schedule they are. Thx!

The funny thing is I just called CS last night to get an update and she was adament that it would not ship until 6/4. Even after questioning why some people were getting theirs before me and BB keeps getting stock she stuck to the 6/4 ship date. Can't wait. :D

wow this thread has gotten really long lol

i got mine 2 hours ago and i'm going to return it tomorrow because i am waiting for the evo
but i am a bit pissed...the bastard has a small almost unnoticeable scratch on the side of the battery cover.

I was taking pics of myself and i noticed it...
since i brought the phone full retail...there is my etf and bill right there when i return it ;)

oh and i received it here in Ocean city, Nj from Ontario California

Salesperson stated overnight delivery but, I now noticed receipt said 2-day. I may just have to intercept the phone should it make it to the local FedEx hub tomorrow.

You can have some of mine. been following this thread for two weeks now (back when it was 4 pages long... damn I sound like my grandpa now), and was so excited as the days went by. now it is either the frustration or the fact that I finished reading the manual already, I am calm. The phone will get here when the time comes (better be today or tomorrow!!!).

Woohoo! Finally got an email today at 4pm.

This was from an order date of 5/16 when the verizon website gave a ship date of 6/1.

FedEx says:
Ship date: Jun 2, 2010

Estimated delivery: Jun 4, 2010 by 4:30 PM

I just checked and my Verizon page still says the same thing: "Order Status: Your order has been processed and will be shipped based on inventory availability and shipping method. You will receive shipment notification and tracking details via email."

i put in my order number and it says that the number doesnt exist. wtf.
 
Anybody else have their phone go WAY out of the way to get to you? I'm in Tucson, AZ. Phone originated in California, and sent to Tennessee? Doesn't make any sense to me at all.

I am in the same boat with you -- I ordered on 5/21 as well.

I am really hoping it will come by 6/4 because I leave town on
6/7 for about 2 weeks! It would be great to have my new phone
for that. Also, if it does not come I am a bit worried they will try
to deliver it when I am away and thus this will fail because I am
not there and THUS it will be sent back to VW and I will have to
start this process all over again :( Any suggestions as to what
I should do if I leave on 6/7 and my phone has not arrived?

I was a bit hopeful because I ordered online, I am a current VZ
customer and live in NJ (east coast seems to have better luck).
But from reading this thread today my hopes are dimming.

On a humorous note, when I walked out my front door this morning
I saw a package from FedEx about the perfect size for a phone!
My heart almost jumped out of my chest. I had read on the threads
where some people were getting deliveries without getting an
email notice. But then I thought for a moment ... they would never
deliver this without a signature ... and sure enough it was something
else I had ordered.

One other question. I know this does not belong in this thread, but
just wondering if one can be re-charging this phone and have it
operational (I.E. receive and make calls), similar to plugging your
laptop into an outlet and not using battery power?

I think all the 2nd day and next day air services go through memphis TN because thats Fedex Main hub in the states, don`t ask me why but it is :)
