Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Ordered by phone late in the evening of 5/19 and told it would be 4 day shipping with a "ship by" date of 5/9.. Got an email notice @ 8:22 AM today saying it's been shipped. Shipped from Memphis by FedEx with 2nd day shipping and will be here 5/8.:D:D

Whether you ordered by phone, on line or at a store this whole process seemed like a crap shoot. Any way, I'm now a happy camper.

 
I honestly was pretty skeptical at first but he reviewed everything twice and verbally confirmed order and shipping dates. I have no reason to troll about this because I really hope he's telling the truth.

Well, with this information in mind, I hope you're correct because that could make a lot of people happy, including myself.
 
Here's the dope, as clearly as I can write it.

Ordered my HTC Incredible on 5/18. (Via Customer Service Rep)
At that time, the website displayed, "Will ship by 6/8"

I received an E-Mail from Verizon Wireless on 6/3/2010 that my phone had shipped on 6/3/2010, and that e-mail also included tracking numbers from Fedex.

According to Fedex, I should expect delivery on 6/7/2010 before 7:00pm.

That's regular shipping, California to Eastern Pennsylvania.
 
Ordered: Online from verizonwireless.com 5/20
Original will ship by date: 6/10
Shipping notification received: 6/4 around 11 am
Shipping to: Ft. Collins, CO

It's funny. I've received the email from Verizon saying my item has shipped, but it's not in the UPS system yet. I called UPS and was told a number has been assigned to my package (hopefully a big one, wink wink) and that it showed delivery was next day air. So, sounds like Monday, most likely, for me (if it's "scanned in" today).

Wasn't aware mine was coming UPS. I wonder if it has to do w/ the free overnight option I was given and/or the fact that we have a large UPS warehouse just south of town.

Will post a follow up on this when I actually receive the "package." But, figured I'd share because, if you're like me, you've reading this thread numerous times a day for weeks!

maybe, just maybe I won't have to wait 3 WEEKS for my phone?? This is worse than when I was little and waiting for Christmas!
 
You current VZW customers are lucky to be able to dial 611 and possibly get some competence. I'm switching from AT&T and so had to dial the external 800 number to try and check on my order. All the rep did was go out to the web page and look at the order page and told me that all Incredibles will ship on 6/25... >__<

Anyway, I ordered 5/28, so I've got a while yet I guess.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and she said that the reason they're backordered is because "they didn't think it would be this popular so they didn't make enough." I thought about trying to explain it was the AMOLED shortage, but decided it wasn't worth it. ;)
 
2 weeks would be a huge improvement - I might combust if I have to wait the full 3. My family is loving the fact that I couldn't have instant gratification though - evil people. Lol.

My desperation and anxiousness has gotten to the point where I'm overexcited about other people getting their phones even though mine is still a week or away.
 
So...since my phone is going to be sitting at a FedEx center about thirty minutes from my house all weekend, I called FedEx to ask if I could come there and pick it up on Saturday.

I was told that Verizon has a restriction on pick-ups until at least one drop-off attempt has been made.

Why would they do that? :mad:
 
Just got off the phone with VZW CSR, and according to him (and is "Supervisor") they cannot change the shipping method once the package left their warehouse. I kept saying that I know that it can be done, and that I know of some people (from this forum) that got their shipping switched to overnight, but they kept insisting that all I can do is call fedex and ask them for the change, and they cannot do anything for me. There can be two possibilities here:
1. People on the forum lied about changing their shipping method from 2nd day to overnight (which I doubt)
2. I got the one CSR that have no idea what he is talking about.
Anyway, I will try to pick up my phone before Tuesday if fedex will allow that. Cross my fingers

Because they don't want a bajillion antsy Dinc purchasers trying to preemptively pick up their loot at the distribution center every day:)

Set to Arrive: 6/7

I ordered online, through VZW's site. I live in D.C. suburbs. It's shipping from West Chester, PA. It's Overnight shipping.
 
Ordered 5/24. Called *611 to get the straight poop and confirmed (phew!) that Verizon indeed had an order for 2 DIncs pending shipment. Guy on the phone said it would ship by 6/22, which he admitted was the last date he saw on the website (well, it's now back to 6/25, but no surprise there). He's showing 2nd day shipping on mine and said he couldn't bump it up without canceling the order (no thanks!).

CSRs clearly don't have a consistent message handed to them (regarding estimated ship dates, anyway) to deliver.

Getting anxious. Actually, have been anxious since ordering. Appbrain list keeps growing!

May next week bring those of us that are post 5/20-5/21 some luck!

Odered: Online the evening of 5/19. Order processed 5/20.
Projected Ship By Date: 6/10.
Actual Shipping Date: 6/4.
Delivery: by 3:00pm mst, Monday 6/7

I'm crossing my fingers, real damn hard, hoping that the Droid Shadow comes out before my 30 day trial period is up with the Dinc.
Please, please, please, please, please let the Shadow be released on or before July 7th.

Do we even know anything about the Shadow yet? I have saw a couple of leaked pictures. But, I'm thinking that it will be running plain android. The Droid Incredible will be my first android device. But, from what I have read HTC sense makes it a much better OS.

there is a forum on here for the Shadow. Or you could google Verizon Shadow, droid shadow, motorolla shadow, etc.
Plenty of info out there......inlcuding info from last weekend that the Shadow showed up in VZW's inventory......so it's getting closer
 
Ordered 5/29, called rep today and she said the order showed "pending" and will show pending until it is shipped and that she can't see when the expected ship date is. Is there someone else I can call?
 
Hi all! *trying* to switch from a BB Storm to Incredible.
Ordered on 5-21 and still no phone. The ETA was 6-9 at the time.
Called today and the Verizon rep felt confident it would ship next week. Not sure how/why she felt confident, but I'll ride that wave for the weekend. My Storm is such a drag....if I have to do ONE MORE BATTERY PULL I'm going to scream!

Got my notification today expected delivery is 6/8 even though the facility is maybe an hours drive :confused:

So Verizon totally sucks. ...I ordered my incredible on 5/24 , they gave me an exception upgrade. Paid for my phone...blah blah blah. I have called to check status of order a few times. Most recent was this morning. Was informed that it was still waiting to be shipped. Called back this afternoon for reason unrelated. Was told that my order was cancelled on the 28th but no one called to tell me even though they debited my account.so for 9 days I've been told my order was pending shipment when it had really been cancelled.then the sup. Tellf me that I can pay 199.99.for the phone with a 2 year contract when the original upgrade was a 1 year and I only had to pay 50. I am so ready to to cancel with Verizon.so I would say call and check on your stuff periodically so you don't get screwed. I will not be getting the incredible unfortunately.

I'm a 5/29 as well. I ordered in store and I was told shipped by 6/18 at the time. I called CS today and they also said 6/18. :mad:
 
Ordered 5/21 in VW strore (Las Vegas)

Just called VW CS:
- Shipped today 6/4 :D
- Left Ontario Ca facility and en-route 6/4
- Scheduled for delivery 6/8 by 7PM :p

For those that ordered in store:
- Receipt Order Location: 7###9-01 #296### (The # sign preceding the "296" is an actual # sign on my receipt, all other # signs are replacing actual number)
