Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

We all are.

We sit here refreshing our mail and this thread over and over again in the hope that we might see some glimmer of hope. It's like when we were 5 years old and we would see how much of the Christmas day presents we could open without our parents knowing we had peaked while we sat there from 4:30am (the only day of the year that such an early time is an acceptable time of morning to get up) and the 7am or so our parents finally rolled out of bed to come let us tear into our presents.

I tried to call Verizon and cancel mine but they wouldn't do it. And that's talking to 3 different reps.

They said the only way is to refuse it when it arrives via FedEx.
 
For what its worth, and for whatever reason, there are nutjobs on eBay willing to pay retail or more, especially if the phone is unlocked (which can be done for as little as $20 through an online unlocking service).

And let me just say what a luxurious problem it is to have too many Dincs on your hands!

Ordered 5/29 in-store, should I be expecting it next week? Or is Verizon a little behind schedule? Their site says "Will be shipped by 7/9"

The quotes on the site refer to new orders only and have no bearing on existing orders. So far, I've only heard of a very very few people that were a day or two later than the original promised ship date they got from VZW.
 
Thanks to all these posts I had to check on my order date 5/25....and low and behold it has shipped yesterday !!! But since they don't deliver over the weekend, I am in for the longest weekend EVER :) !! But it will be here (Massachusetts) on Monday, so there goes doing anything at work on Tuesday hahaha
 
I was told 6/20, then 6/21, and 6/30 the other day. My replacement was ordered 6/6.

I'm tired of guessing. I told Verizon if its not here by a certain date, they can keep it. I'll wait for the second wave of Droids. Still haven't ruled out an iPhone.

How do you know that's what fired it? It could have just been a bad phone.

I canceled mine NO problem with one phone call one rep. I'll probably get a shipping email this week though LOL :rolleyes:

It looks like they are getting more and more behind. Their Ship by date is all most a month wait now.

A testament to eroding quality and inconsistency or customer service everywhere, and its not just Verizon. Its like going to Vegas and playing roulette.
 
Got the confirmation from NewEgg today:

Ordered 6.6, phone in and ready to ship 6.11, receiving tracking # info later today.

Only $149 and not $199...a nice savings of $50 and not having to wait for VZW's ship date of 7.9! A friend who works @ VZW said she could get me $50 off if I came into the store, but no phones were there...so why would I do that when I could order it from the comfort of my own computer?

Wierdly enough, I had the same kind of dream last night. I woke up with glimer of hope but realized it was only a dream and went to even more of a depression.

I went on Amazon and checked out w/ the Inc just to see what happens and they don't offer the same texting plan. I have the $15/1500 plan and they only had a $10 plan. That kinkda blocks the Amazon route.
 
Well, if I don't get a shipping notice today or Monday, then I think that gives me the right to finally, and legitimately, complain at Verizon.
