Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I *thought* the WSB was 6/22, maybe 6/24. I've called VZW a couple of times and get radically different answers each time (varying from 6/22 to 7/12). I've decided that calling is a waste of time... although it does provide some amusement to harass the VZW reps... since we have to endure this wait, it's only fair we give back some frustration to VZW, right? :D

My wife and I recently purchased Dincs for our contract renewal. But, the verizon rep wasn't exactly sure when the phones would ship (first week of July is what he said). Where do I get the actual shipment date? Should I receive an email with that information? Is it supposed to be on my verizon wireless homepage?

It was like the first thing I installed too. I also discovered that they are right about one thing on the batter life thread.. you have to train the battery sensor. I got to the 14% warning last night... but took the advice and let it keep going. It didn't die from last night at 7:30 when I got that til just now, noon today. Hopefully that retrains the battery sensor to be more accurate.

I know this will sound twisted, but I kind of like the wait. It's good medicine for AIGS (the notorious and deceptively sly illness known as American Instant Gratification Syndrome).

OMG!! I love it - I suffer from that!!!!!!! And I hate the wait, and wouldn't admit it to anyone out loud but my mother was right in the fact that this is kind of good for me. Damn - even as an adult I still hate when she's right. lol.

Mom is almost always right. You gotta love the Moms.
And Babyblues, I'm a closet AIGS sufferer, but very close to overcoming it. If I was over it, I'd not be posting on, or even reading this thread.
 
Ordered 6/7 online at Verizon and received notification last night that it would ship on or before 6/28 and to expect a shipping confirmation the evening it ships

haven't gotten email or recieved and the fedex trick hasn't showed anything
seeing 5/31'ers getting their email is frustrating as hell tho :(

When you order, Verizon has an estimated ship by date. It's not a delivery date, just a date that they say it will ship out by. But most people have been getting them a little earlier, with some variation to how early.
