Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I know this will sound twisted, but I kind of like the wait. It's good medicine for AIGS (the notorious and deceptively sly illness known as American Instant Gratification Syndrome).

My wife and I went in store on the day of our upgrade. She apparantly suffers from AIGS more than me because she had to walk out of there with something and got he Moto Droid. I'm hoping the hold out for the Dinc is worth the wait. I've at least been able to play around with the Droid a little.

I got to the 14% warning last night... but took the advice and let it keep going. It didn't die from last night at 7:30 when I got that til just now, noon today. Hopefully that retrains the battery sensor to be more accurate.

When you order, Verizon has an estimated ship by date. It's not a delivery date, just a date that they say it will ship out by. But most people have been getting them a little earlier, with some variation to how early.

I didn't get a for sure ship estimate. The guy in the store had no clue (first part of July was all he said

If you know what day your processing was completed someone on here will have the same date and be able to let you know. Unless you don't want to know then just go with the 'first part of July'. :D

I seriously cant wait for you to get yours! You are going to loooooove it! to bad you've already played with one I hadnt seen one let alone touched one till mine got here, I didnt really know what to expect..

I really didn't get to play with it - I just got to see the keyboard (had to see if I have to cut the nails). Then he snatched it back before I could do anything else. :(
I'm in need of an intervention at this point....I'm worse than a crack whore looking at the threads and drooling over info and pics. Lol
 
Turns out the Best Buy stores in town that are in stock have their stock reserved for people already. They have 4 in stock and I pre-ordered one today (6/18) which puts me 8th on their list. So, if none of the 4 people at the top of the list return Best Buy's call by tomorrow, I could have my DInc tomorrow. Otherwise, they said I'll have to wait a week as they get weekly shipments. Worst case scenario, they said I'll have a two week wait.
 
Just got off the phone with the corp store, they couldn't help me so I called the local verizon rep.

They provided me with tracking information for my dinc. Shipped today, stated would arrive tomorrow b/c of next day shipping. Knew this was wrong so I called fedex directly to confirm if they even do Saturday delivery's.

The Fedex rep advised me that they will only deliver "priority" shipments and that my package would arrive on Monday

It is marked as "signature required" the rep advised me that if I leave a piece of paper with


Attn: Fedex, please leave package on doorstep.

Tracking # _________________

Signed

They would be able to leave it without a signature


I had no issues dealing with any of the reps they were all as helpful as they knew how to be. Just thought I would share my new knowledge to those of who are still waiting, give you the ability to get your dinc in a timely fashion

I didn't get a date, either. My fella said "the end of June," so I'm hoping it's gonna be on its way shortly. I ordered mine in a corp store on 6/10 in Northern Virginia.

They had one in stock and I called at the right time and got it!!

So happy!!!
