Ugh, I hate Verizon.
Ordered on the 10th. I walked into the store not knowing about the backorder, but knew, as I do every time I walk into a Verizon store, that I'd be leaving frustrated and disappointed. (Seriously, I would rather have to go to the mechanic or the dentist. I have NEVER had an experience with Verizon that was better than agonizing.) So whatever, I've been waiting like the rest of you.
This morning, I decided to call the Verizon store to check on the shipping date. (Wishful thinking, I know.) Naturally, no one answers the first time. The second, I'm told that I called "Residential" (even though the site I'm looking at says "Wireless" next to the number.) Of course, they can't transfer me to the phone in the Wireless section, 7 feet away.
I call the number they give me and ask about the shipping date and the guy says that Verizon doesn't have that information. I, of course, have the original shipping date I was given, but wanted to see if it had changed. The guy with whom I spoke said that there is no way whatsoever to check on the expected shipping date. So the phone just comes when it comes, and there's no way to check once the order is placed? That seems crazy!
