Thinking Facebook, Netflix next. I'll check out some of the ones you posted, they sound useful lol

I was big into Drag Racing when it first came out, was top 100 globally with my ferrari 599, but quit playing when everyone started posting/downloading saved game files. It's no fun when half the people you play are cheating. :o

[APP] Nova Launcher Beta (ICS based) - xda-developers

aaaaaaaaand ninja'd.... by the person who asked, no less.

Loving Nova Launcher!!! Its a must have app.

Looks very interesting, I noticed it lets you use the space the search bar takes up.

One thing it didn't mention, does it allow you to select the number of home screens you use? I'm use to 7, although with 5x4 I could probably bring it down to 5.

I'm just using the apk, all I was looking to do was get rid of the google search at the top.

FYI - you can remove the Google search bar from the top by:

1) settings
2) apps
3) choose Google search
4) disable

However, just installed Nova Launcher....regained that Google Search space for icons! :)

Handcent - stock SMS replacement

How is Handcent working for you? For me it is pretty spotty. Seems to work fine for SMS but crashed on my both times I received an MMS message. It also crashed on me every single time I tried to "test notifications" in the settings menu. The popup doesn't seem to be placed correctly either as the keyboard cuts into the popup when trying to type a quickreply.

Handcent has always been my favorite SMS app as well, and I'm using it okay, but there are definitely growing pains. I had to open the stock messaging app to open my MMS messages.

  • pdanet
  • blueant
  • scanner radio
  • ringguard
  • screen filter
  • quick settings
  • Xmarks
  • Astro
  • SMS to Texy Pro

Thanks I did not know that.

Edit: yes we can remove it but we cant use the space ;)

handcent is working fine for me, although i haven't received an MMS yet, so i can't comment there. it did crash out on me during "test notification", but no other issues so far.

First off let me say this:
- I came from a blackberry where if I installed more than 5 apps, the device slowed to a crawl
- the android market is amazing, love installing remotely using the main website on my PC
- All these apps serve some purpose on my device
- I didn't pay more than $0.10/app due to the great deals Android has had these last 10 days, I feel sorry for anyone who missed it, there were some great apps available
