Hi

I have noted that in this folder DCIM/Camera/Cache i have a number of files. Folder is located in sd card (that is internal memory)

Can i delete these files safely - what are they exactly.

Regards
Ken

Hi
I want to recover the .tec cache files which are in the camera/cache directory on my phone.
I have tried tecPlot but no luck. Has anyone know of an app that will convert or open .tec files

There are multiple TEC file openers on Google. Do not know if they work but there is no shortage of sites that claim they do. Good Luck

So did you delete it in the end?

Are they not the cache of the thumbnails of your pics thus they load faster when you open Gallery?

Yes, and they're recreated for any existing images.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but if they are recreated is there any point in deleting the .arc and .tec files?

I moved my camera taken images to my external sd card, so would you say it would cause any issues too these if I were to delete the files from the camera's cache?

If you've deleted images they'll still remain in the cache, so I periodically clear mine whenever I do a cleanup of the device. The rebuilt cache will thus be smaller.

It shouldn't, no.
