Help DE03 official sprint release?

mine wouldnt download either so i stopped the downloads and rebooted my phone then went back and did it again same thing so i did it again and finally it started to download and i have no problems downloading so far. So just keep trying.

I saw someone having the same problem at sdx, I was able to download a few apps without problem.

I looked for the post you speak of but couldn't find it, I would like to track it for help with this... can you direct me to it?

There's 2 suggestions I saw I don't remember the post.
One the easiest one I guess was to re-flash
the second one is doing something like the Market Fix in dd10
But just setting your clock to 11:59p.m. without replacing the build.prop.

Just completed the update on my 3 day old Moment! Took 4 tries - kept stalling out with a long string of ?????? in bottom left hand side of the update tool. Finally completed and rebooted ! SWEET! Info says:

FW = 2.1 Update 1
Baseband = s:m900.8.os.de03
Kernel 2.6.29
Build ECLAIR.de03

Just starting to get around on it... but lots of changes!

Have pretty much checked out all apps and so far everything is working. Major find is that the email client now handles exchange mail and contacts - not calendar.

[HOW TO] DE03 - Instructions for Flash, Recovery, Root, Custom Patch

Everything is right here. Just follow the easy steps. Works perfectly. Please PM if you need extra help, you know I got you guys. Everything works like DD16/10 but WAY smoother and FASTER!! :) Oh yeah, I got mad apk's if you need some hahaha. 2.1 FTW! I might just keep my Moment since I dont wanna pay an extra 10$ per month for the EVO and I don't live in a 4G area. :)

the person who got root working explain please cause iv tried and no success

I did NOT use the official newest updater***
Instead I used the old updater I just downloaded the file they posted @ sdx which is a .tar file already renamed so it can work with the old updater.

tar file here:
Code:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/111413/SPH-M900_MR2_DE03_REL_1.tar

then after the update I loaded the recovery 3.0.8 in the old updater and flashed it.
then I used the joeykrim-SDX-a2.1-root-v7 to root
putting it to your sdcard and using recovery..

The new updater also has new USB drivers for the Moment which is the reason why I redownloaded the whole thing.

I was able to solve my problem by turning off USB Debugging (I had it turned on because my primary computers are Macs, and that's the only way it can ever see it when plugged in via USB).

finally 3 tries no go on home computer...
gave up and started over with my sons netbook, worked first time like a charm.
now to start over with my set up mods.
wont do too much this time, itll be up for sale in 3wks anyway
bet i'll miss it a little now...

I Keep getting stuck on the Updating Do Not Disconnect Window with [DEBUG] SetupConnection. Will not go any further than that and ive rebooted the PC and the phone about 5 times now and still getting stuck. Im on WinXP SP3 if that makes any dif.

Sometimes it goes, sometimes it doesn't. On my phone it took me 3 tries to update it. On my mom's phone, it took me 2 tries. Just keep trying. It's not going to hurt anything.

Ok I followed the instuctions to the letter, then clicked the start software download butten and nothing. It just said ready for an hour. On the bottom on the left side it said [debug] and on the right it said com6 connected. I unpluged the phone, removed the battery and nothing changed at all. Any suggestions.

I had to reboot twice, then it began working ..

i give up, been at this for 3 hours now. i think i have a strand of hair left on my head lol. gunna try it on another computer tomorrow, see if that helps any. :(

Got it! Downloaded 2.1 "as is" from Sprint, then went back a couple of hours later and installed recover + root. No more Bejeweled, NFL, and I've installed a Live Wallpaper.

Crossing my fingers that this version fixes the CDMA lockup issue.

Upgraded from stock 1.5. Lucky for me, it took on the first try.

I didn't do any backups prior to the update, so I'm in the process of reinstalling all of the apps I remember having. If I don't remember it, I probably didn't use it much.

So far, my first impressions are positive. I like the VPN support, since I often make connections through my home ISP. I have connectivity issues that I need to resolve (works for about 10 seconds, then it stalls).

Overall device speed seems to be better. The updated GUI takes a little getting used to.

The ultimate test, will be radio stability. I expect to see improvement over previous versions. I'm gonna test the hell out of this thing over the next couple of days, before I declare it a success.

But for now, I consider myself cautiously optimistic.

Install the software first, then plug in the phone only when prompted. During the install of the upgrade utility, it should load the necessary drivers. At least that was the case for me (Win7-64).

I joined just to say...bout damn time. Had some trouble with the drivers(windows 7),but they randomly installed for me after some dinking. soft keyboard seem to be improved, and some of the lag issues seem to be resolved ,but only the test of time will tell.
