Help Dead Galaxy

Tino555

Lurker
Hi, there

I messed up my galaxy,
I made wip/factory reset with recovery v 5.0, and mounted sd cards on PC
and then I deleted RECTOOLS.tar.gz

When i rebooted my phone, I realized what I had done :mad::mad:
It never boots, just stays on boot screen (because of wip/ reset)

ADB doesnt fork, but fastboot does,
Is there any way I can get RECTOOLS.tar.gz on my phone using fastboot ?

Thanx

I don't completely understand what you've done, but anyway you should be able to boot in recovery and get a mini-recovery which should allow you to upload rectools to the device.

Just use the adapter for your SD Card and plug it into your computers card reader. Then just copy the proper version RECTOOLS into the SD card.

If you don't have a card reader but do have the USB cable. You should be able to go into the mini recovery as stated above. You need to make sure you have the proper ADB driver installed on your computer for ADB to pick it up I believe.

Otherwise you can use 0din and factory reset the phone to a factory ROM. From there re-do the process.

Your phone isn't bricked so it's just a matter of getting it back up and running...

simple.. put the phone in download mode (volume down + OK + Power).. use odin and flash any version on ur phone.. it shud work.. now, your phone is back to normal.. do wtever u want with it..

there might be many other short solutions.. but this thing came to my mind now..

sd card is built into Galaxy. You can't take it out and plug into a card reader.

So I remembered after typing that :D

Was thinking of my HTC Sapphire which you load the rom from the external SD....

0Din for the OP will be the best way to approach this...
