Help Dead Phone

Hello everybody, I finally registed but have been on these forums since the day I purchased and fell in love with my first Android (Huwei Ascend)

Now I have a HTC Sensation which is what I am writing about: So the other day I was driving in this crazy Texas heat, it was almost a hundred degrees out and I had to use my gps, I thought it would be better to use Waze because Google Maps (Navigate) always overheats my phone, I had the gps going and suddenly the phone died, I picked it up and almost burned my hand. It took about 20 minutes before the phone would turn back on and when it did, it started in boot mode? (White screen) I reset the phone to factory and it seemed to fix the problem, the phone remained working until the night when I got home and plugged it into the pc connected charger (Battery was at 6%) well all of the sudden the phone turned off and even the orange led light went dead, I panicked at this point because I cancelled my T-Mobile account and went with My Simple Mobile, so I thought, gosh I won't be able to get a replacement. Well I decided I would just try to call HTC since its their phone and its still under Warranty, They said they would send me a battery but it is going to take 7-10 days, they still haven't even shipped it out 4 days later :( I am considering going to purchase another battery from the T-Mobile store but if its not the battery that is the problem, I don't want to waste my money, has anybody had this issue and it was the battery?

From experience I have noticed that most android phones tend to turn their selves off when they overheat.... So try taking the battery out the phone and letting it sit apart for a few hours and then put the battery back in and try booting it up

You will get majorly ripped off buying the battery at a T-Mobile store if they have any left. Id rwccomend buying an canker 1900mah battery for the sensation on amazon. It's larger capacity and probably less than a normal one from T-Mobile.

The battery may be the problem though, without a battery mine does nothing

I sent it in for repair and finally got it back the entire phone was dead, they had to order parts to fix it which took several days but I did take your advice and ordered the other battery which works unbelievably better than the old battery I had Thanks!

Good to know you're back up and running :)
