Help Dead Pixel on Droid X

i don't have any dead pixels, but i do have this tiny little spot right in the center of the screen that is visible even when the phone is off. it still displays normally and responds to touch, but it kind of flashes in an odd way when i click near it. it's like a tiny oval a centimeter or two long. i wonder what it is.

found the source of the problem. it is a pressure spot due to the fact that i am using the extended battery. i pulled it, remounted the door, and put it back in the protective case. i don't see the spot at the moment. hope this fixes it.
