Help Dead spot after screen crack

Hi, so i recently purchased sony xperia z. I noticed some dirt in the earpiece close to the sony logo. So i tried cleaning it using a sharp object( i know it was stupid) and a crack appeared there that went on to the top right part of the screen. Im sure warranty won't cover this for free so is there any app to resize my screen and ignore the dead spot? I uploaded a sketch to get a better idea where the dead spot is.

Unfortunately not, and the problem will only get worse. The only solution is a replacement screen assembly, I'm afraid.

Dang, would it help if i used some kind of sheath to carry my phone in? Because it works well, i just had to remove the screen protector and the dead spot isn't that big of a problem right now.

The "dead spot" is likely to spread over time, as the crack will 'creep'. There's not much you can do to prevent this, although the screen protector might have slowed it down.

Thanks for the answers. I'm sure and i hope the deadspot doesn't spread, because the line that caused it is bent to the right and ends at the edge of the phone.
