I'll just keep the GoldCard in the handset then, it'll save swapping whenever I run a new RUU, plus if I lose the GoldCard it means I've lost the handset too and would need a new GoldCard for a new handset and would just run a whole new GoldCard process. And breathe.

Hi all, I'm trying to debrand my HTC Desire, bought on ebay. Welcome screen is O2.
I use it on Vodafone, so it's unlocked. It has Android 2.2, Amoled screen, Hboot 0.80.
I've made a Goldcard.(?) (got an ok message)
I've tried with both "RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.10.405.2" &
"RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5". both give the same error:-
Error (131):Customer ID error, cannot update, get correct update utility. What am I doing wrong?

Goldcard creation hasn't worked correct. Re create from scratch. Did you use the goldcard tool?

I did get an "OK" message at Goldcard creation.

Thanks. I now find that my SD card is not recognized in my phone. I cannot select "Disk Drive" mode. Do I need to use a different card?
