Debranding your Xperia S

All done, had a few hiccups but debranded, unfortunately bootloader unlock still says no, balls - it's why I did it in the first place, oh well at least I got rid of a lot of the bloatware and that stupid splashscreen.

I also had a couple of hiccups. Had to install the drivers package that Flashtool put at c:/Flashtool/drivers before my phone was flashed. Once they were installed the process was quite smooth though I had to reuninstall stuff like McAfee from the phone as the flashing process reinstalled them

Minor hiccups really, used a old win xp laptop, had to install pc companion, then restart a couple of times to ensure adb drivers showed up (come up from the corner in a notification box just like an update) then had to do the process a couple of times - up to the point where you hold down volume down and connect your turned off Xperia. Other than that it's pretty much exactly the same as the link. Overall its pretty hard to mess up.

Doing this will allow me to still update to newer firmware using OTA? right? Unliked when rooted

From what I read I think Sony are only sending the ICS update via PC Software update route only not OTA.
