Help Dedicated Yahoo Messenger for Android????

So I have tried Ebuddy and I was not very happy with it.

I'm looking for just a Yahoo Messenger application. I can't find one anywhere.

Yahoo is the only messenger that I use so I don't need all the other messengers on one, and I did not like the way EBuddy was set up.

Someone Please Help.
 
So there isn't an app specifically for Yahoo?

Someone needs to make one, i'd pay for it.

That's the thing i miss most about BlackBerry

I use "Hi Yahoo", it's in the market for free..
 
Unless they updated it, be careful it will keep the phone awake and kill the battery. No biggie if you are just firing it up to chat, then logging out when done then it works great, but you can't leave it "on" like g talk or like the yahoo apps for blackberry
 
I have been using Meebo, which is like ebuddy in that you can use multiple chat clients (Yahoo included). I like the style a lot better than ebuddy and it works well.

Yeah, I went to bed with my battery fully charged and woke up to it at 60%. Hi Yahoo is the only new app I added. Typically the battery uses less than 10% while I sleep.

It's sad that there is no good Yahoo Messenger program. I also tried Yahoo Droid, but I had problems with it staying logged in and it would basically stop working. I would try to open it, the screen would turn people, and I'd go back to the home screen. Because it doesn't appear in the Task Killer list, the only way to close it was to turn the phone off.
 
Why would you buy a Google phone expecting to use Yahoo with it. Either commit or get out of the sand box.

You obviously don't understand what I was saying. If you want the experience that the phone offers don't use the "competitors" programs. If you know that you use Yahoo then get a phone that caters to Yahoo users(AT&T's Android). Just like if I used all Microsoft products I wouldn't get an Android phone without expecting to switch what company I use for mail, IM, Calender, etc. I would just get a WinMo phone. All I was pointing out is you either have to make some changes or play in a different box.

Isn't this an open software?

If i wanted to be locked down to a certain program, I would choose Iphone.

This is suppose to be an open based OS where you can put anything on there.
 
It is open but once it gets to the manufacture that makes the phone for the carrier with its preferences its not so open is it. Its open for anyone to build on But once you put certain features in place and lock it up you can't really do what you want with it can you. I don't like this anymore than the next specifically because I finally bought an Android at full price and feel that it should be mine for the destroying. See people hear "Android" "open" and think that it is line Ubuntu or Linux for the end user. This is more like open to the manufacture and not the user. Especially when you get Sense or Blur on a phone then it is like OS X or Windows. Built on something that was once free but has been monitized. Google just wants to get a platform in front of you that can display ad's and no one really had the brand recognition that Google has. So they said hey we have this free OS that everyone is gong to eat up and we will give it to you for free just put it on your phones and we don't care what you put over it but its open to do what you want with it. It is kinda like table legs, Google said heres some legs and anyone can come design these legs any way they want but you have to build the top. That is why the Google Experience phones are rooted before they are out because they(manufactures) can't do anything to Android legally if it is pure Android because it is "open". The only reason you don't have root access out of the box on those phones is for the average user's safety that they can't hit a wrong button. I think this explains things but feel free to discuss further. :)
 
the two i tried are Hi Yahoo and Yahoo Messenger Droid... both are free.
i liked the hi yahoo interface better. plus has a bunch of themes you can download.
