Help Default App IM does not work and says Error Error occurred

Hi guys,

when I try to run the IM app on my SGS2, it shows

Error

Error occurred

Ok

First, I was wondering whether I did not have any internet connection. But I do have internet connection and everthing else is working. Guys do you know how to fix this? It should be a software related issue right?

If not, can you guys please tell me how I can remove this application? I already searched for this and found the same issue other users posted out there. Seems like a common problem. Since I don;t really want to use this IM app, I would love to uninstall or remove it. But the only for doing this seems to be rerooting the phone (which apparantly is not suggested to be done)

I have the same problem, and I contact Samsung they told me I'm in Mddle east and my region still not getting the IM work.!!!!


However, after many tries and joining Social Hub it finally works but I think IM sees me as I'm from USA..

I also have this issue with Yahoo! mail and all the IM's not working on all 3.. lol kind of sucks.. I have tried and tried.. I am in America though..

Same problem with mine but it use to work
