Default email app colour scheme

Hi guys,

Is there anyway of changing the default email app colour scheme?

At the moment the inbox screen is basically very dark (black background with light grey text). I have looked in the settings everywhere but cant find an option.

Once I open an email its fine though, the background is white and the fonts are white. Its just the inbox view that needs changing.

Thanks.

I've been looking for this everywhere and can't fiind the answer, white text on black background is awful, using negative settings changes everything to a different awful ! This is especially terrible in poor light. Can someone help us change the background of the default email preview screen to white ?

If you haven't already, take a look at "K-9 Mail". It should offer a few color chage options you're looking for, and is more robust than the native Android mail. It is a bit more effort to configure, but many who were disappointed with Android mail have opted for K-9.

I've tried pretty much all the email apps because of this issue. The only other one that supports both imap and exchange is Enhanced Email which is pretty good but has a few bugs and is no good if you use email folders.
K9 is ok, kaiten by thw same developer is a bit better and is what I use for imap email.
For exchange I use touchdown which has a very old fashioned interface but is rock solid.
Samsung really made email harder work than it should be just by not letting you change the background from black
