Root Default ICS

Hey, I know that I could get a launcher like apex to make my motion look like default ICS, but is there a way I can replace the lghome3.apk and all that stuff to make it look like default ICS instead of Lg's stupid butt home screen?

If you have root, use either ROM Toolbox or a root browser to convert your home of choice to a system app (with ROM Toolbox there is an option in the App Manager, with a root browser you just move the .apk to the /system/app folder). Restart and make sure EVERYTHING works fine. If this is the case, then you may freeze/uninstall LGHome. Be warned though, if you do this and your chosen home does not work you have soft bricked your phone. You will have to recover it with the unbricking guide. I can confirm that it DOES work. I have done this with GoLauncher and I uninstalled LGHome with no problems so far, but I cannot guarantee this will work with any other home app.

There is no way to swap the files with root browser?

Messing with the default home screen without any way of making a backup beforehand is very dangerous. If you mess up and cannot access home anymore, then your phone will be useless. If you don't have any advanced form of recovery, then you can download and install Holo Launcher from the market, and move it to the internal memory, so that it can be set to default automatically.

I did that before lol and I freaked out, then it poped up a google play update message, then I clicked on it went to the play store and downloaded a launcher so I could access my browser and replace lghome3.apk so I dont think I want to do that again.
