Default ringtone

Skippy04

Lurker
I was able to add set of new custom ring-tones to my SR. I can assigned them to individual contact, however they do not show on the list of original one. So I'm unable to change default ringtone of incoming calls to one of my custom. This is probably due fact that my custom ring-tones are in wrong folder, but I'm unable to find right folder where original ring-tones are. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

On your SD card create the folder media and in that a folder named audio

Add sub folders
notifications
Ringtones
Alarms

Put corresponding tones in those folders, reboot

It doesn't always work...i use zedge, ringtone trimmer and sometimes an audio program i have on the PC (have to look up)

Thanks. I've been interested in this. None of the included ringtones or notification sounds seem to have enough zing to them to get my attention when the phone is in my winter coat pocket. I will create a few of my own and blast the levels using some specialized audio software I have, an ultramaximizer plugin, which will boost volume levels to absolute max without resulting in hard clipped distortion... which is what you get when you simply boost the amplitude saturation on most software.

That good sir is exactly the why and the how :)

I've got 12 synths and a couple of samplers in the studio. Should be able to come up with nice, custom stuff. Especially with a couple of the analog synths.

Feel free to send some my way!

I make silly ringtones using some free PC app I found haha
