Help Default text message not sent possible FIX

Hi, I've been having problems with the "text message not sent" notification, and I've found a fix that's been working for a while! the phone number you may be texting could have a number such as 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX and I found starting a new thread under that same number, but without the 1 in front, and all of my texts have been working as of yet! the Facebook app added all of the people on my facebook into my phone, and added the 1 in front of the number, and this may be happening to you. So try to create a new thread with the same number but without the 1 on front.

I have had this error, which seemed "off and on" or even random at first, but now almost(?!) every time I reply or even start a new (regular, text only) message since I updated to 2.3.5

None of my messages had the "1" prefix.

I am sick of it!

Am I the only one? (Havent found much on this error )

Considering what I paid for this phone, it sucks, in very many ways (almost as slow as my htc eris($99) not worth the $300 I paid for it (and Motorola knows it, too that's why they "dumped" it after 6 months. Thanks Moto! Buggy crappy slow phone. Thanks twice!

Start using an app called SMS backup and Restore by Ritesh Sahu (market link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore ) and make a backup of all your SMS, then delete the SMS ( not the backup) and see if this helps.

The D1 has a very limited amount of memory, and having a lot of SMS in memory can cause this error.
