I got a phone with a defective screen, and this is just a heads up for how to reproduce it if you think yours is bad too.
The defect of the screen it a flickering effect, a bit like old television sets. Horizontal lines that go darker and lighter all across the screen.
The way I was able to reproduce the effect was by turning the screen brightness all the way up 100%, and heating the phone (could be by playing a game, or just a hot day outside). If you find out this causes distracting horizontal line blips on your screen, then LG should replace your phone. Such blips are most easily seen when the screen is white.
I have a new replacement coming on Monday.
