Defender and extra screen protector

I've read the posts about the Defender's screen protector not being flush with the screen. Has anyone tried a regular screen protector under it to "snug it up"? I regularly have my S2 in two sandwich bags at the beach and usability is just fine.

That's what most of the people do. They get Defender, use hairdryer to warm up glue for easy removal of plastic screen protector, and put on a premium one like Spigen or iSmooth. Keep in mind, tempered glass will be too tight and I would not recommend it. But a standard premium (3H hardness, don't go with cheap ebay stuff) PET film protector should work.

When we got iPhone and Defender cases for work a few years ago we just put a screen protector under the Defender protector to act as a spacer. Worked just fine.
