Root defunct

I have absolutely no clue how to register a nickname with nickserv so I can connect to freenode. Everywhere tells you to connect and send a command but how when you keep getting disconnected before you even get a chance to register?!

Sata was what I meant. I'll need to check my stock to see the sizes, I would be willing to send you a small one if you want (less than 100GB or so.).
Edit: Checked my stash of drives. My last laptop drive is 160 GB, if you want it. Not the biggest (which is why I'm not using it :P), but I'd gladly send it to you.
 
OK sorry but I got a problem when I rooted and updated to job cm10 my camera don't work and no play store and just one app keeps crashing can u help skinnyjeans21

I tried to flash the oc kernel after the aosp 4.4. No dice. In fact, I lost what adb access I did have. (I'm pretty sure I had very limited adb, can't remember.) Either way, no dice. Computer didn't even see it, so usb didn't enable at all.

Hey if it reads/writes and boots an os I'll take what I can get. If nothing else I'll have the 500gb. If I have both, I'll use one as the lappy drive and one as an external storage/ubuntu boot/backup-everything-and-its-mother-so-i-stop-losing-shit drive >_<
 
hey i was just gone for a couple hours and pook what happened lmao. ur not alone there cdz. the ion.h is kernel specific information about the ion ram. basically its memory sizes, locations, speeds, command sets. not sure if my hacking made things better or worse tho honestly kuz now it wont run a build but ive gone back to an untouched kernel and its doing the same thing soni dunno wtf is going on
 
also... why does everybody gotta use freenode? i hate freenode :p they wont let me connect kuz i only have my phone with a sprint ip. skyn3t rules XD. i am almost always on there as is pg
 
yay they still have my sasl login on file. i can connect to freenode. im on there but apparently rb is sleeping... so yea hit up the freenode channel if you can zach itll be much easier to communicate there. plus its safer for me kuz i got a mouth on me like a drunken sailor and that doesnt go over well here lol

Took me like 10-15 minutes to even figure out how to register. Nobody tells you where to go if you dont have a freenode client or are on android. Kiwiirc finally let me register. Its a smart system, maybe TOO smart lol
 
i had to use my brothers pc as a proxy, he has real internet but livea in another state, and hunt down the info to register with sasl. i was unable to connect with my phone and without being able to connect i couldnt register with sasl... vicious circle
 
WOOT I'm back up and running biznatches! Could somebody post the adb, fast boot and dll files from the sdk to a zip file somewhere so I can get my tutorial recorded FINALLY?

okie dokie, heres an update on the tut situation
- My boss gave me the 500gb drive which I IMMEDIATELY installed Windows/Ubuntu/drivers/Sony Vegas/Fraps/XSplit on, so now I can record...AGAIN
- Luckily I still had all the original cwm/kernel/superuser/stock files on my SD Card, so I don't have to download all that again
- I have made an RAR file containing these files:
-- PDANet (for the appropriate drivers *works, trust me*)
-- ADB and FASTBOOT files (so you don't need the SDK)
-- cwm.img/cwm.zip (Clockworkmod Recovery files)
-- superuser.zip (superuser binaries and application installer)
-- ockernel.zip (the original working/stable overclock)
-- recovery.img (stock recovery)
-- update.zip (to return the device back to out-of-box condition)
-- written tutorial (revised to include making backups and install PDANet)

...all contained within a folder to keep everything together

- I have run through my own written tutorial to make sure every direction is clear and everything works perfectly. They are and they work.
- I plan to upload the rar tonight while I sleep because I'm throttled and want to push it out for review ASAP
- I will record my video tutorial AGAIN tomorrow and upload it as well

@rbheromax - I sent you a message with a link to my 4shared folder so you can keep track of when the file is completely uploaded and review it for yourself before we link the file to everyone else. If I missed anything at all, don't hesitate to let me know. I'll be more than glad to revise, revise, revise
