Help Delay in receiving texts/only with call

So I got my LG Optimus a few months ago, and for pretty much all this time every now and then there's been a delay in receiving texts - however in the last week this has been happening all the time! If someone sends me a text or two I don't receive it until anywhere from 5 minutes to 6 hours later, or not at all! I rang Orange (my provider), they didn't help, but whenever I make/receive a phone call all the texts come through? Any ideas how to fix this, it's really frustrating and I'm not sure if it's to do with the service provider or my android, thanks

That's a problem with the network you're on, call them again, and insist them, until they fix it.
