Delayed 'Phone Wake' Time (nitpicky)

I really realize this is quite nitpicky, but when I push the Power or Home button on my phone to 'wake' it back up when the screen's off, sometimes it wakes instantly, but other times it starts up after a slight delay (2 seconds, which seems long for me).

Anyone else experience this? Could it have anything to do with my Micro SD card (either size or class)?

Or is this just the way smart phones operate (I am new to them), and I should just shutup and be patient?

Thanks.

Happens to me too. I blame it on the bloatware installed. :p

I will ignore it until it starts happening after I root my device and do a clean install. If that comes about, then I will start to worry.

Have you installed stuff already? I could be wrong but I thought out-of-the-box my Play turned on quickly. Then I started installing things, some of which had their own lock screen functionality, and now I too am experiencing the occasional pause before it responds. I could be way off, I'm not sure.

I was just thinking that it reminds me of the lag I would get sometimes with my Droid X. The screen would come on instantly upon hitting the power button, but sliding to unlock would work, but I would get a 1-2 second pause before the homescreen would come up. With the Play, the slide to unlock is always instant. Probably an Android 'feature'. :p

Mine some times unlocks and the screen is sideways and frozen.
To fix it I have to slide the screen up to show the buttons and the PS app opens.
It may be the live wallpaper. I removed it to see if it continues.

I also have a delay at times.
Only after installing tuff. But it wasn't long before I installed stuff also.

Time to root I guess :( I always have my iPhone 3GS to fall back on.
