Delete email on server - Battery life

Is there a way to delete an email on the server after I read it? It's a Comcast pop3 account, it that matters. The phone keeps downloading the same messages over and over until I get back to the office. When I delete them on my PC, they get deleted from the server also. My BB Storm had a setting where you could tell it to delete from the server when it was deleted from the phone.

Battery life is also very disappointing. I'm getting 4-5 hours with light usage. I'm afraid to even hit the web if I'm not near a charger. I've installer Juice defender and tried the three different canned profiles and it makes no difference....or very little.

Regarding both issues...Would upgrading to the Bionic help? I just got this phone and I still have a few days to return it and swap it out.

Thanks

Actually I like to have it the way yours is setup. If I delete the email on the Rev it removes it from my (POP3) server. I just have the "notify before delete" selected on the Rev.

As to battery life, I too have installed the free version of Juice Defender. I live in a rural location and without it my battery would last 4-5 hours. With the JD I do get an all day usage, where I can run around and just charge the phone at night; using the standard configuration. I have also turn off all the automatic updates, I am not sure but I think JD keeps the app updater checker from running too.

Sorry I can't give you any more information, I have been using this phone for about 2 months.
