Delete HTC Mail app data??

I use the GMail app and so have no need for the HTC Mail app. If I delete the data in HTC Mail app through application management, will this have any detrimental effect on anything else. I can't see it would and it would also free up a few meg of memory.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

No, not as far as I am aware. It will simply erase all of your settings for the HTC Mail app -including things like Hotmail settings etc. It may even clear out all of your folders.

Hi, you encouraged me to try it myself and I can confirm that erasing cache and data in the HTC mail app has made no difference to my Gmail account but saved me 3.9MB

If i had the 1 email then yes ide do this BUT I've 2 accounts...could sack off the Mail situ. go with the gmail app and only access the ovi via the wap ?????? thoughts....lol
