Help delete widgets from widget list?

this might be a really dumb question (sorry if it is) but I cannot figure out how to remove widgets from the widget list that I no longer wish to use. For instance, I use Calendar Pad and it came with about 7 different widgets. I use one of them. I'm never going to use the others. Dazzle is another, there are 4 different widgets that came with the widget from the marketplace but I only use one, never going to use the rest. I'd like to simply remove them. But can't. Anyone?

Some apps allow for it under "menu" and "settings" and some don't. I use calwidget and it has an option to remove widgets under the "sizes" tab.

Problem is that most apps don't have this option and many of the widgets themselves don't even have an app in the app drawer.

Is there Root solution? It is frustrating to have to scroll through tons of widgets I don't ever plan on using just to get to the 4-5 that I do wan to use.
