Help Deleting Amazon MP3 app

I am trying to get my cloud music to load on my factory installed Amazon mp3 app. However, the cloud section of the app is corrupted. How do I get it deleted and re install it again ?

I am not rooted.

Have you tried Settings/Application Manager/Amazon MP3 Uninstall updates?

Yes, that doesnt get rid of the app, to allow me to reinstall.

Amazon tech support was of no help. Samsung tech said I would have to return the phone to be re flashed.

I may go the root direction

Have you tried to reinstall it?

Sometimes you can overwrite a preinstalled app. Also do you have any filter apps running like screen adjuster? They can interfere with installing apps. I had a lot of problems installing the Amazon store app but once I uninstalled the screen adjuster Amazon store app installed fine.
