Root Deleting Apps...HELP

McKenna

Lurker
I downloaded Android Mate and Root Explored and when I am in Root Explorer I am unable to Mount R/W. I click on the button and it highlights yellow but it doesn't change access for me and I can't delete the apps I don't want because it's still in read only mode. Advice?

I would suggest to root your phone :)

Or if you are already root user, unroot it and re-root it using Z4root. That hould do the trick.

1) Root your device
2) Install custom recovery
3) install my rom

equals simple

Are you running Android 2.2 or 2.2.1? Some Optimus M are coming with 2.2.1, while the original batch (luckily) had 2.2. Also, some people who don't know better are "upgrading" to 2.2.1 from 2.2 -- and now cannot root.

2.2.1 cannot be rooted at this time. You would have to downgrade to 2.2.
