Help Deleting auto suggestions

When I type in the first few letters of a name to send an email or text message it brings up a long long list
Most of the suggestions are just the mistakes I made when I first had the phone and not a contact at all

Is there a way to delete all the misspelt suggestions at all?

I don't want to turn off predictive text Just want a shorter list of suggestions

I hate this too! Try menu, language&keyboard,touch input,user dictionery. From here just delete anything you dont use.

Thanks but that doesn't seem to show my misspelt words. Only ones I added it seems
