Deleting calendar events don't work

I have been searching online for this issue but I cannot find anything. I have a recurring event that I have setup on the my Google calendar on the PC. I wanted to delete one of the days, so I deleted it on my phone and it looked like it was deleted. I go back to the calendar and the event that I thought had been deleted was still there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would go to google.com on your phones browser then request desktop site, then log in and change the calendar event like that then sync google account. If it still doesn't work just delete it from your desktop then sync your phone with google.
