Root Deleting Contacts

Just flashed cm7 (my first foray into the rooted world) and it took multiple attempts to get ALL my contacts restored (Google and the .vcf file).

As a result, I now have some entries listed 4 or 5 times. I just want to delete the entire thing and start from scratch...how do I do that?

Also, I have some contacts that are "in google" and some that aren't but are in the .vcf...how can I get them all in one place, preferably my google account?

to start fresh you can go into settings/apps/manage apps/click the all tab at the top/contacts and clear data.

edit: or you can start completely over and wipe data, dalvik cache and cache in recovery.
