Help Deleting e-mails

I have set up my HTC Desire HD with my home e-mail account, the problem I seem to be having is that when I get a new e-mail & delete it from my phone it is deleting it from my e-mail account, I am sure it is a setting I have got wrong, but being new to smart phones dont know what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My home e-mail is with blueyonder / virgin - pop account.

Still deleting from server??????????
Any more advice?

Is this ok??? or do I need to update and if so how????

Try downloading the email client mentioned in the thread I linked, K9.

Also might be worth checking the options in your accounts online. I've am option in gmail that lets me decide what I want to do with POP3 mail.
