Help Deleting email

I'm having issues with deleted emails showing back up in my inbox. Any one have this problem....it's driving me crazy!

What app are you using and what are you doing that results in the problem?

I'm not sure what App, but it is a pop3 account. When I first got the phone I just put in my email address and password. It happens after I empty the trash and then the next time I check for new mail all the old deleted ones fill my inbox. I have tried remove my email then reloading it and I have it set to delete from server.
