Help deleting emails

hi all,
so my desire is set to check mail every hour and when i get notification that i have a new email the others are still there,im now upto 38.i know they maybe just the headers but its bugging me today and i have bacardi + coke head

are you asking how to delete them?

just long press on the email and select delete, or open the emal press menu and select delete

press menu/delete then menu/mark all then ok

this will delet the lot in one fell swoop

my desire is deleting my emails whilst reading them! i having to log in to virgin to finish reading them, has anyone else had this problem? how do i stop it?
