Help deleting gmail

Hi there, ceebok1, and welcome to Android Forums. You're in the best place for all things Android, and we're glad you're here. :)

There may be device-specific tricks for the question you're asking, so I'm moving this to our Samsung Galaxy Note 3 board.
 
I'm really fed up with the flakey GMail app and it really let me down again today so I'm deleting the app itself and going to web interface permanently. That worked just fine.
