Help Deleting Old Thumbnails Pics

How do you get rid of specific thumbnail pics.

I have connected to my laptop and can bring the thumbnails file up but they don't show any pictures or give any indication as to what they are so I don't know what to delete and what to keep.

When I play media files I am getting the most random photos that I have maybe taken months ago and long since deleted showing

I'm not very techy minded so if anyone has any solutions to my problem, please keep the explanation as basic as possible.

Cheers

You can delete ALL thumbnails by deleting the follwoing folder:
/sdcard/Android/data/com.cooliris.media

Will this delete the legit album covers that comes with any downloaded media files?

And does deleting the thumbnails have no negative issues with regards to the workings of my phone.

Apologies if this is a Noob question I just don't want to delete an essential working part of my HTC desire phone :o

I think its just the thumbnails that the gallery uses, but I can't guarantee. It doesn't actually remove the images though, and the thumbnails will recreate via the gallery when you run it again for the first time.

You could always backup the thumbnails first.

No, it shouldn't affect anything else.
