Hi all , on my galaxy s3 I had I could open my task manager and delete ram to free it up some space , is there a task manager on the g3 that I can check and delete used ram , also on my old s3 I could see how often the phone was awake , can that be done on the g3 as well ... Ta

On the home screen, clock on the third icon and it should show you all running apps? Is that what you are looking for?

Wakelock Detector app from Play Store will give you time awake info and a ton more. There's some apps out there that supposedly free up memory, not sure what to recommend there. I've always figured swiping away apps from "current apps" would do mostly the same thing.

on my s3 I could get on the task manager and delete ram being used to free it up , get more ram , I'd then press a button and it would say for example 10 applications closed and my free ram would increase ....does the swiping away running apps do the same ??? ......wake lock detector won't run on my g3 running 5.0

Ah ok, and it's a root app forgot about that sorry. I know nothing yet of the potential 5.0 app limitations. Haven't experienced the switch yet.
