deleting standard apps

Was wondering if anyone could tell me how this is possible? I have so many Sony put on that ive never used and dont want. Also, is it possible to create folders? Like for games etc. Thanks
 
I think you'll only be able to delete these if you root your phone.

As for creating folders, yes you can. Just hold down on any of the main screens and one of the options which will pop up is to create a folder. You can call it what you want, and then it's just a case of dragging the icons from your apps into the folder (they will still stay in the apps list).
 
Rooting doesn't remove anything, only gives access to Super User.
To remove the apps you would have to be able to access the /system partition.

Bare in mind, removing those apps won't gain you any space.

I've not rooted this phone yet but when I rooted my X10 I could remove stock apps and it freed up space... Confused.com
 
I tried removing my bloatware and stock apps without root, but everything I searched came up with [ROOT]

I found it easier to use a stock root for my phone. Download Root Explorer & remove all stock apps that way.

It's possible that those apps had data (data is stored on the user partition) so when you removed it, the removal in turn removed the data, hence freeing up space.
 
I've looked into flashing/rooting the phone and I'm not going to lie, I have no idea what any of it means. Seems ridiculously complicated to do. All I want to do is remove a few of the standard apps and maybe install some custom themes. Seems there's no noob guide anywhere. I checked xda too. All far too complicated for me. This sucks.
 
Just the crap that comes with it like music and video unlimited, news and weather, gmail, google talk, google +, officesuite etc. I don't use any of it and I want it gone. They sure did add a lot of apps to it compared to my old iphone.

What do you use for Email then? Gmail is pretty handy.

But the Video unlimited etc etc, yeah i don't use em.
Your best bet is to use another launcher, i think someone else said that too.
Just hide them if they annoy you that much. but like i said before, removing them won't gain you anything.
 
I sent you a little message on how to root, if you ever decide to do it..BUT Tyseyh is right, they won't add space.

Just go to the market/play store, download GOlauncher or LauncherPro and then hide the apps using that. Be easier to do that then root the phone =)
 
+1 for GoLauncher

I don't know if this phone, like my Desire, has a Security Flag ( S-on ) which stops editing of anything on the System partition.
