Deleting Stock Camera Cache... .arc .tec files.

I know there has been debate on this previously, but is it safe to delete the Cache that's stored in DCIM/Camera/Cache?

I refer to the files that have .tec and .arc.

Been told they are related to thumbnails, is this correct, and if the cache was deleted would this mean that there would be no thumbnails when first going to gallery?

Images taken with my stock camera have been moved to my externalSD card, so hence my question if it's safe to delete those files, or are they needed because the images still exist if only on another folder.

As far is I know they are related to the thumbnails, yes.
If it is any help, I have deleted them before with no problems.
In fact, I would expect there to be zero problems even if you deleted the directory itself - it should just be automatically created again when the OS needs it.

If you are curious, you could always Google the file types - that could help you to know what they are for.

I deleted them yesterday, and it didn't cause any issues at all, and the thumbnails in the gallery are still showing too, and I checked the folder again to see if they would be created again after clicking on a thumbnail, and they don't seem to re-create again which is good.

With regards checking the internet to find out what they are actually for, well I never really found too much that told us what these files are really intended for and I think I found just one instance when someone said it would be safe, apart from on here that is.
