deodexed?

I searched online what deodexed meant and it said most custom roms are deodexed. Does that mean our phones are with aosp ROMs I have cm 10 wild like the night. And I was trying to put a new gallery on from xda and it wouldn't work
 
Thank you :) wait I understood the concept but my question was if the wild by night or whatever it is called is deodexed.
