Desire camcorder freezes and restarts phone

Guys when i try to use the camcorder on my desire it freezes and sometimes makes a terrible squeeling noise then restarts my phone can anyone help?:(I have just done a factory reset and its still not fixed it

im having the same problem, it started after i rooted my phone and have tried 3 different roms but seems to do it on all of them, havnt found a solution yet.

Mate i rooted my phone again and put the custom 2.2 update on it and everything is working superb camcorder working gread with 720p hd id advise you do the same bud
