Desire HD 2.2 vs Desire 2.2 - the same?

I'm currently on 2.1 (telus rom) and I would like to update to 2.2 using the OTA stock HTC rom included in the message board however I want to ensure check to see if the Desire HD 2.2 is the same as Desire 2.2 and there are any differenced then what are they? I saw some cool features on the Desire HD video, like the save maps offline, is that available on the Desire 2.2 update?

No the HD ROM is different to the current one on the regular Desire and does not have those features.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll stick with 2.1 until the Desire HD ROM is stable for the regular desire (working camera, etc...) and then I'll install it, just in case I can't go from regular desire 2.2 to HD desire 2.2

I will be surprised if you will ever get a version of the desire hd rom, unless you are rooted in which case it wont matter if you are on 2.2 as the hd rom will be a custom rom.

I guess I'll update to 2.2 for now and wait and see what happens with the HD ROM.
