Desire HD display crack (I think)

Hi guys,

Just dropped my phone and my display is now cracked.

But I'm not sure which part is cracked...

The outer display is fine as there are no cracks on the outside part of the screen. The cracks seem to be inbetween the actual display and the top layer as apart from the cracks everything is displayed correctly.

But the phone is not responding to touch at all.

I will ring HTC on Monday but can anyone tell me which part is actually cracked?

Do you guys need a photo to see?

I'd a rough idea how capacitive touch screens work, but not to that extent, cheers.

If I use that guide then I'd say it's the Glass Substrate that must be broken.

I still have touch sensitivity right at the bottom of the screen below where the cracks are.

So will it be the whole LCD unit that needs replacing as the display seems to be OK.

Trying to get a sense of whether it will be really expensive or slightly less expensive...!

Don't send to HTC for repair. Mine took 6weeks for screen replacement, would have been longer if I hadn't kicked off massively...
