Root Desire HD has been crashed

Newbie
Actually what I'm going to say is just ironic.... while messing with me DHD, it CRASHES .
ys it does crash and it seems that the recovery tool has been vanished !
Whenever I try to get into the Recovery , I got the red sign that I get used to have b4 rooting the cellular.
After I got that red sign ,I press power+volume up --> Android system recovery <3e> is displayed .
One of the options is to Apply sdcard:update.zip but whenever I press it , I got no such file or directory.

um on my way to fetch a device in order to put my mircoSD into and try to put one of the roms over it and try to install again.
Meanwhile, do u have any advices to share !!

Can you boot into the OS at all? If so, just use ROM Manager to flash the latest Clockworkmod (the top option) and it should re install clockwork for you.

When I press power+vol --> I got a screen that says HBOOT
and has the following options :
fastboot
recovery
factory reset
image crc
simlock

whenever I press the recovery , I got the Android system recovery <3e> .

Is there a way I can fix it or it's a hopeless case !

You can flash clockwork manually, download the clockwork image manually here: ClockworkMod ROM Manager - Recoveries

I've a feeling it will only work if you are both S-OFF and ENG S-OFF though (You need ENG S-OFF to use fastboot commands). I take it you're still S-OFF? Did you get ENG S-OFF when you went through the root process? Which method did you use? Do you have the Android SDK installed on your PC?

I've tried set of ways but the final one was using Advanced Ace Hack Kit.
I've downloaded the recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-ace image , then what !
I couldn't follow u @"(You need ENG S-OFF to use fastboot commands"

I'd appreciate more detailed instructions or just give me a link to a site that gives me a clue to begin with .

Sorry, was getting there, I just wanted to know if you were ENG S-OFF first. If you didn't do that, I'm pretty certain you won't be able flash clockwork manually using fastboot commands (scroll down to the bit whch says "With Fasboot:" in black bold letters).

Does that make sense?

What did you do to get your phone in the state it's in?

You need to download a stock rom pd98img.zip to your sd card. Once you have done that if you go into bootloader mode on your phone it will automatically install the rom. Make sure you have the right pd98img.zip though otherwise it will not work. If it doesn't work then download a different pd98img.zip. It should say something like this when you have downloaded it.

PD98IMG_Ace_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.36.405.8_R_Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2_release_187331_signed

Do not rename it. Once it has installed you will need to root your mobile again. Hope this helps.

I've installed CM7.1 rom and renamed it to pd98img.zip .
Then transfered it to the sd card manually via sd card reader.

When I entered the recovery , it automatically tries to install the file .it says loading pd98img.zip ..... No image or wrong image pd98img.zip... parsing

Then I go to the screen with "HBoot USB plug" as a title .
When I try to recovery ,the follwing message is appeared "E:failed to verify whole file signature"
E:signature verification failed

Any more advices !

Accedintely ,I've installed the Ace hack kit twice and on the second time it stucks 4 along time ,so I unplugged the usb .
Then BoooM .

That's solved my issue .
I've installed PD98IMG.zip and the boot loader did the remaining job.

Now, I'll re-root the mobile again and install the clockworkmod recovery to be able to restore my previous rom.

Are there any advices you can share with me while I root my mobile again.
I use Ace hack kit to root my Desire HD.

Thanks El Presidente for the amazing support you provided.
Thanks Dazzasky .

Lol, thanks. I gave some links, Dazzasky actually solved your problem ;)

In the bootloader, it should say at the top ACE PVT S-OFF (or similar)? If yes, you'll need to root with Visionary, then install ROM Manager, flash the latest clockwork 5.0.2.0, then pick a ROM.

What do you like the look of?

Thank.
I've just finished rooting and flashing the rom.
I've re installed my original HTC sense rom successfully.
I've got a zip file for Arabic but whenever I try to install it from the revoery , system hungs and I restore the whole system from scratch again.

I'll try what you have mentioned previously about LeeDroid/ARHD Arabic patches and feed u back .

I mis-understood you as I expect that LEE-Droid is just an update that I can use over my custom HTC sense rom .
It seems that it's a rom built over htc sense and has arabic support.
I've installed the LeeDroid rom and it seems to be nice so far.
Thx.
