Desire HD not getting gingerbread

What with a carbon copy of the desire hd coming out soon (incredible s) am i right in thinking the dhd owner wont receive the gingerbread update?
Whats the difference between dhd and incredible s.. Is it just the front facing camera?

Pretty much, the s series of devices are abit weird, all of them are pretty much on par with there predecessors minus the front camera.

And I'm pretty sure DHD will receive the update, its HTC's current flagship afterall. Give it time.
 
The incredible is meant to fill the gap between the desire and the desire hd. I doubt they would give the incredible the better os and leave their iphone killer and best model on the older os.
