Help Desire HD, Partially Locked?

Hello everyone.

I hope someone has heard of this issue before and can help me.

I've got a DHD which is Vodafone branded (software only, no markings on handset)

I assumed this would be network locked, however I've tried a 3UK sim in the phone and it works fine for calling and texting, however I cannot get a data connection at all. I've hard reset the phone and am very worried that if I pay for an 'unlock' it will come back no different as clearly its not network locked.

Has anyone heard of this before?

Silly question, so sorry... does the 3 sim card have a data allowance?

I'm wondering whether the network settings are set up and correct? Have a look at this thread and see whether that sheds any light on the matter:

Was just about to make that suggestion... you would need to change the Access Point Names (APN's) for the 3 network

The APN for 3 is three.co.uk
